ragnell long range properties

as most of you may know about ike he has long range capabilites in PoR and RD
as some of you have seen ike at e4all video and some of you have noticed a blade beam come out of ragnell

there is the dojo update on grabing with ike
he does his up smash againts link and a blade beam comes out
there is a video of him where when no one is around he does a f smash and a blade beam comesout

i would like to gather info about like does it do half the normal damage if they are hit with a blade beam does it some out radomly, for certain moves does it only work

if ike does have these capabilities it already adds to his great range


if anybody is wondering i play ssbm black marth "loki" i can constantly shhfl shdf mindgames are decent and i plan to main ike and only ike no matter what no matter what tier he his

I had trouble understanding what Roith was even trying to say. I'm assuming he's talking about the Ragnell's energy-wave attack, which is in his original games. That said, I haven't seen these 'Ragnell waves' in Brawl. Nothing tangible as a projectile attack, anyway.

I don't think he has Ragnell wave attacks in Brawl, as of the E For All demo build. Which is kind of a shame, I would have preferred that over his current Neutral-B move.

maybe he's talking about eruption? that's the only semi-projectile move ike has...

I don't think Fire Emblem characteristics are portrayed well in Smash, so I don't really care.

I didn't see any projectile attacks in any of Ike's videos. Unless you're talking about Eruption which looks nothing like a beam...

He thinks that the motion you see after a slash (think lightsaber) is a type of beam attack. Sorry to say TC, but Ike has no long range attacks.

yea, i guess he was talking about the orange shadow...stuff that appears after you swing the sword, like the blue shadow link's sword leaves.

I have watched a lot of Ike videos ... i really have no idea what you are talking about.. I am sorry to say i haven't seen anything lke what you've said.

But i would love to be wrong... a projectile beam from Ike's sword would be amazing

I see what he means, at least in the Grabbing and Throwing update, in the last picture you can see it, a kind of ''wave'' above Link, it's as though it's surrounding him or something, don't think it's anything, it's just an animation of the attack, but it would be really neat though :)

ok sry for my typing problem. i can't wacth youtube videos right now cause im at school but there was a video at skyworld with and ike and samus i know there is about 3 of them, but in the video he is on the bottom platform and no one is around him and he radomly charges a f smash hits no one but a little beam ( or whatever you want to call it) comes out. i have also wacthed every video on the two ike video threads also fire wulf.

no im not talking about eruption.

the one with the grabbing update after ike hits link with a up smash i have seen that wave but he doesnt hit anyone

I think what we see is the slash effect(look at the up-throw pic) when he hits the breakable platform.

Yeah I see what he means on the video, it's at 1:20, you can see a very long wave, lets hope it's true, cause that would be a good propertie of Ike :)

It's not a real beam, it's a special effect you see when you make contact with a move, in this case the platform. It has been shown that Ike's F-smash hits low enough to break the platforms in skyworld.

there was also another video where just about every move he did aether p smash f smash he broke he in one hit but not here? no im not calling you a liar or misinformed just asking qestions :)

The beams that come out in that video are just the effects that happen when you hit the breakable panels covering the platforms.

but ine way or another they need to get something with his long range thing or something like it or get rid of ragnell then i wont say anything.

Here is a video in which you can see a beam of some kind come out of the blade... it looks a lot like the boomerang that link would through... but it doesn't have the gale animation when the boomerang normally comes back.

The smash starts getting charged at about 17 secs into the video. You can clearly see something fly beneath link and Pika.... couldn't tell you what it is or if it does any damage .. but i was amazed when i saw it.

I think you're talking about the little rings that appeared underneath them. Those were the double jump animation.

My bad... you would be correct... i guess i was just so shocked at seeing something that looked like it could be a ranged attack with a character that i am looking at maining... and i just kinda believed what i wanted to believe.

I would just like to say in my defense.. that was an odd set of chance for those two to jump at the same time that Ike did his smash so it looked like a beam... My Bad

I found a youtube video with Ike doing some slash, with a curiously fast blue beam being fired. I can't tell if he has a weapon of some sort, but here's the vid, and here's the time to check;
