Question: Regarding Wario and his hog! (Pictures here)

I saw many pictures of Wario with his motorbike (or hog if you want to call it) and he looks mad cool/funny in his outfit. Wario is a very cool character, because he is short, funny, greedy, evil and he can pack quite a fart too!

Anyway...back to the main questions..


based on these pictures of Wario with his hog, does anyone know how the hog will work? I read on dojo that if you get off the hog or get kicked off you actually have to go back to it in order to ride it...but how does jumping/attacking work on the hog? Do you just run over people, what is it mainly for, to catch items faster than otherS?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it'll give him some serious ground mobility, as well as make for a quick approach tactic and a getaway cab. I wouldn't be suprised if you could damage opponents by running them over. Basically, ride over to an opponent, they get out of the way to avoid being flattened, then you jump off and attack them while they're trying to evade. Wario doesn't seem to have a projectile, so the Chopper might help him close the distance between him and arrow/laser campers. Plus, that apparent lack of a ranged attack will put him in a bad spot against characters like Sonic, who would normally be able to run circles around characters like Wario. The Chopper looks like it might even that weakness out a bit. Seems to be pretty important to his character.

The site doesn't give any specific instructions of being able to jump or wheelie with the 'cycle, so I'm not expecting those to be possible. However, it does show he can pull a 180 degree turn, which is good. It also says to 'use an attack button to jump off', which leads me to believe that you cannot perform any attacks while on the hog. The text "Only one motorcycle will appear on screen, so if you fall off, run back up to it and climb on again." seems pretty significant, but there is some disagreement as to how. The screenshot shows the motorcycle can exist when Wario isn't using it, and other characters seem to be able to interact with it (Mario is carrying the motorcycle, and others might be able to, also), which leads me to believe it's some sort of item. From that screenshot, it looks like only Wario can ride it, while other characters can just carry it. I can't figure out anything beyond that.

It's so simple.

Forward+B makes him jump on his hog, and he automatically rolls forward until you turn the control stick in the other direction, at which point he skid-turns and starts rolling the opposite direction. It'll tackle anyone out of the way.

To jump... you press jump.

If you get kicked off, the bike rolls for a moment and likely falls on its side. Then it can be thrown or Wario can get back on and ride more.

Honestly I don't see how this is so hard.

There's more than what meets the eye, there is definitely more to the move that Sakurai just hasn't explained yet.

it's like yoshi's egg roll. you can go back and forth, good for mowing people over and ground mobility. if you attack while you're on it, you hop off. while you're off it, the bike just hangs out waiting to be picked up and rode or thrown.
