Well, Its a question i've wanted to know. Fox was the fastest in Melee along with a few others, so I wanted to know:

Whose faster in Brawl, Fox or Sonic or is it a tie?

Oh and if anyone can, do you have a video?

BTW, I mean sped as in running speed, I know Fox has been turned ... "floatier" like everyone in Brawl has.

Really Sonic should be faster but in game they will be around the same speed.

Sonic is fastest on the ground, even faster then Captain Falcon in the Melee, but in the air Sonic slows down.

SONIC IS IN BRAWL! Pretty cool I suppose, he's a good fit. But how does he play? Well I'll do my best do describe that right now. First off, Sonic runs very, very fast. Sure, we all could've seen that coming, but compared to the rest of the cast he runs way faster than any of us could've guessed. Compared even the fast characters from the demo to sonic and they might as well be crawling. Sonic was one of the hardest characters at the event to actually control. Because of his amazingly fast running speed we had trouble at first almost just running past characters and missing with moves.

From Gimpy's thread. So yeah, I'm pretty sure he's faster than Fox.

Believe me, he goes three times as fast as Fox here. You spend a second dashing and you're on the other side of the level. Maybe two seconds on the Eldin Bridge, and that would take Melee Falcon four seconds.

umm i'm pretty sure sega wanted him to be the fastest, and was part of the deal with sonic being in brawl.

Anyway, of course Sonic's the fastest. He's a Character based around speed, he's renowned for how fast he can run. Actually, he's famous for it too.

Honestly, it's like asking who's bigger? Mario or Bowser?

And Captain Falcon told me to Falcon Punch you for saying Fox was the fastest in Melee.

Lol, he is, C Falcon and he are pretty much the same in terms of speed. I mean come on, a few frames or whatever faster, I really don't see a difference virtually in the game.

Captain Falcon is actually faster. Much faster than Fox.

Though Fox prevails on attacking speed.

Sonic is much faster than fox on the ground, but Sonic floats like crazy. He has a terrible drop speed. Fox has been made "floatier" as people are saying, but not to the degree of Sonic. This could be a potential problem for future Sonic users. Sonic players might wanna stick to the ground, while fox may have the advantage in the air.

I hope that fox's reflector gets fixed and that hsi "weight" in temrs of drop speed are as before.

Hell, I'llsay it, make Fox like he was in melee ffs!

Technically, there's nothing wrong with his Reflector, as it does its job perfectly.

But making Fox as he was in Melee, especially at this stage, is just a hopeless dream.

It would be stupid if there was a character running faster than Sonic. Its a different story for the attack speed though.

woops, i didn't mean to state that as factual as it sounded.
i just said "pretty sure" because, well, i AM pretty sure sega didn't want sonic's renowned, reputable, infamous speed dwarfed by a fox that only went on foot a couple of times in a couple of games

Heh, I just hope he's like the was in Melee really. He was perfect lol. I was planing as using Sonic since I use speed characters, but since his drop speed is so slow (due to him being like Luigi was in melee) then I'm not sure.

Just have to wait til February.

Oh and, C Falcon is faster than Fox, but not -MUCH- faster like you said lol. I mean, in theory yes but race both of them from one place to another and they'll both be there at the same time lol.

Anyways, who else tinks Brawl updates have been **** ever since E for All?

but in all seriousness... captain falcon is the only other speed character i see in the game. and if krystal is in then she'd be semi-quick too. i'm also thinking that squirtle's going to be really fast on its feet.

Zero Suit Samus looks like she is fairly quick and we haven't seen snake yet, but I can't imagine he'd be too slow (probably about the same as Link). Diddy will probably be fast also.

I havn't actually seen a video of Sonic going really fast (except the "Sonic joins the brawl") But I know Fox isnt even supposed to compare to sonic's speed. Could someone link an E for All vid with Sonic going fast?

Dude, Sonic & Mario at the Olympic Games is nothing compared to Smash, in the Olympics it's only logical that they downsize Sonic's speed, he would rule at everything....
Comparing other games with Smash, even if it is a fighter-game, is stupid, Smash is unique, so Smash can be whatever it wants to be

Captain falcon ties sonic in running speed. yet sonic has faster special attacks. sonic ties falco in attack speed in air. fox has the fastest regular attacks. but the spin dash moves make overall sonic the fastest yet captain falcon will still own. ........ imo. =]

they probobly slowed him down since the demo... i mean come on 3X cfalcon.... thats a mistake
