I was thinking today when i walked in from outside, i saw it in my head, i would be really awsome if they made a legend of zelda movie, with real characters, it would be great. What do you all think.
sorry about off topicness.

it depends on the plot and actors/actresses to whether or not it would be awesome or not.
Jessica Alba should play zelda:)

I have had thoughts along those lines, and my answer is an emphatic no.
The Legend of Zelda has too many strange gameplay elements that wouldn't translate well into film.
Unless you wanted an artistic silent film (not too popular these days:)), Link would HAVE to have a voice. While this COULD work, chances are that it wouldn't suit Link at all.
Don't think it would be an issue? http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=FPxY8lpYAUM
Also, how do you create a cohesive story? Does it follow Link through X amount of temples? Do you show Link standing on switches? Pushing boxes? Lighting torches? Doesn't make for very exciting film, does it? Yet without these puzzle elements, you find yourself with a VERY thin plot to work with.
A Zelda movie might have good action potential ( and I am sure that the musical score would be outstanding) , the games aren't only about action. I just can't picture an actor playing Link without looking incredibly stupid. And given the calibur of recent blockbuster movies, I think that a Zelda movie would be incredibly cheesy and bad. It woud *******ize Zelda games!
Unless you made it a spoof. My friends and I are currently filming a Zelda spoof ( original, I know...) and some of the awkward gameplay elements can be used quite well for comedy.
But that would *******ize the series as well. Not to mention, lots of people wouldn't understand the jokes at all.
Ughh. Look at that long ugly rant. Basically, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The whole movie should be done in Hylian, the ancient language. There is only one person that could really pull off Ganondorf,.... Arnold Schwarzenegger! But they would probably get someone like Tom Cruise and put him on a box for the entire movie (poking at his height).

link actually speaks in legend of zelda games, you know when you have to choose yes or no and so on. so thats not a problem, just make him a man(or boy) of few words.
make the story like an indiana jones in the past and voila, puzzles but booring.
and the last thing all his increadibly huge amount of items, let him get a magic bag in the begining of the film and it will not be strange when he pulls out a "ball and chain" out of nowhere
^ off topic, but Link also talks in Wind Waker, when he says "come on!" to the other characters (and that is freakishly adorable) XD

Lol I've seen some sort of LoZ real time video, looked like hell :P...
Anyway, the most crappiest thing about Nintendo is that their main heroes never talk, Mario never does (some lines), DK doesn't, Samus doesn't, Link doesn't, one of the few exceptions ofcourse Captain Falcon, why don't they make an F-Zero movie, that would work pretty well :)...
About the LoZ movie, would you like Link to talk? Who will be his actor (I can see Orlando Bloom standing in a green tunic, BLEH..)? Ganondorf (the black actor from 2Fast2Furious :P)? Tingle (Wee-Man :P)
Oh yeah, Jessica Alba definitly for Zelda :)..
I actually think Keira Knightley might be a better Zelda... or Natalie Portman.

You're right this doesn't have anything to do with Link.
