It looks okay. I just hope the sweet spot is easy to hit with, otherwise this is going to be an annoying move to pull off.

Even without the sweet spot, it is still pretty impressive.
It seems upon further investigation, the whip attacks are THE longest reaching melee attacks.

From the videos, they seemed to have a bit of a lag afterwards. Do they hit as they retract? That would make it a lot more usable.

The whip isn't as strong as people make it out to be... When I played as Samus, and I turned into Zamus, I was excited. The whip turned out to be very laggy and weak. I did not like Zamus nearly as much as Samus.
