What are your favourite Sonic games? [Archive]

Sonic 3 and Knuckles: you know, when you put Sonic 3 on the top of Sonic and Knuckles' lock in thingy. Waaaaayyy better than today's crappy Sonic games. In fact, Brawl is most likely to be the first great game Sonic is starring in, in a very, very long time.

Sonic 2 is the best in my book followed closely by Sonic 3&Knuckles, Sonic Rush Adventure is also worth a mention for being one of best 2d Sonic game to date.

Sonic CD. Hands Down. Perfects the Sonic gameplay with a great soundtrack(s) to boot.

Sonic 2 comes in second (no pun intended).

Sonic 3 is tied with Sonic Adventure 1 for third.

Then the rest of the Sonic games...

This isn't The Sonic Stadium. Which of his games I liked best (SA2B, Sonic Battle) are not particularly relevant. If you rephrased your question so that you asked something like 'Do you guys think Sonic should be more representative of the Classic series, Adventure series or the Modern series?', then it would be a little easier to discuss.

sonic 2 was awsome. Back in the day when i had my megadrive that was my favourite game. Not to mention the hardest final boss ever (the megadrive boys no what i am talking about) But sonic 3 and knuckles is a close 2nd. i loved the bonus levels. every thing in that game apart from the casino night puzzle. it was very badly created since we never use up except for looking lol

Sonic 3 & Knuckles was the best, no contest. After that, the other classics are tied for second, Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic 3D Blast tie for third, and Sonic Heroes (I'm a Chaotix fan, so I like that one more than most people do) and Adventure 1 tie for fourth. From there its not even worth bringing any up.

Getting all the emeralds and activating Super Sonic for the first time is perhaps my greatest gaming memory.

1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles (same reasons as everyone else)
2. Sonic CD (awesome atmosphere, destroying roboticizers actually changed things in game, great gameplay)
3. Knuckles Chaotix

Since I have a twin brother Sonic has always been way better than Mario for us since we could both play at the same time (well since Sonic 2). Got to love immortal Tails too.

I haven't played a Sonic game since Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast and am scared too by the low reviews.

My favorites uhh...so hard to pick, I love all of them, but I'll choose Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic Riders, Sonic Dx, Sonic and the Secret Rings, well all the games that Amy Rose is playable in :).

sonic adventure battle two the absolute best sonic game ever and it is the one that made shadow the chaos control master famous it also showed off sonic and shadows super modes for the first time

What do you mean by super mode? If you mean Super Sonic, try Sonic 2.

I like almost every Sonic game up to Secret Rings. I didn't like 3D Blast or Advance 3. Didn't try Riders, Rivals, or Battle. Throw some more generally thought of as bad games at me. I can't remember everything.

Never thought I'd ever see a person who liked all the games on that list...

Regardless, my favorites are:

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles (Locked on): Possibly the best Sonic game in existence.
Sonic Adventure 2: Gotta love that music
Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis): I can never really get tired of Green Hill's music.
Sonic Battle: It was really fun when you got someone else to play against.
Sonic Rush: I played this, and wow, what a gem among the Sonicrap recently. I'm gonna get Rush Adventure soon.

Those are the bee's knees.;) I could not care any LESS about the recent ones...:urg:(which means that I will not play those, for those who misinterpret my comment).I would try the Sonic Rush games, but my mother does not allow me to have any portables:(...

My favourite Sonic game has definately got to be Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. It had all my favourite Sonic characters for a start, and it was really fun too. The next favourite I guess has to be Sonic Battle since that also has all my favourite characters (apart from Cream) and I typically like fighting games, especially spin-off type ones. My other favourites include: Sonic 2 which was the first Sonic game I played, The other original Megadrive Sonic games, Sonic Adventure, Sonic and the Secret of The Rings, Sonic Rush and Sonic Advance. Sonic Heroes was OKish, but I only really liked Team Dark's storyline. Everyone else just got a bucket of cheese. Moldy cheese.

I'm not too keen on the other Sonic games, especially the dismal Shadow The Hedgehog (ruined some of my favourite characters by giving one a gun and all of them 4Kids voices) and a few of the lesser known ones I have been unfortunate enough to play (on Sonic Adventure DX's unlockable thing).

My all-time favorites HAVE to be (warning, weird choices)

1.- Sonic 3 & Knuckles

2.- Sonic Battle (can't put it down no matter what... closest thing to a Sonic SSB)

3.- Sonic R (I know, I know, weird choice... but it was my first FULLY 3D sonic game, so it felt really good)

then there's every other game. I love Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic Advance trilogy, Secret Rings, Adventure and Adventure 2 Battle. I like them ALL! Rush was pretty awesome too, Rush Adventure was nice.

I could see why you enjoy Sonic R. The game's fantastic, and I liked the music in the emerald road level. Super Sonic was so **** broken in that game...

there was a secret bass fight, i believe what Gerudo Warrior meant..., which has the greatest music for sonic which is the background music for his entrance to brawl vid ;) awesome!!!
I must say i think Adventure two was the greatest Sonic game!!!

Wow! You liked Rush Adventures the most??

Speechless! lol It was an awesome game, but In my personal opinion, I don't think it surpassed the original Sonic Rush.

There are awesome choices in there... I wonder if you fuse both lists, how would the Top 10 games be...

(P.S. Sonic Rivals, not that good?)
((P.S.2. I wouldn't consider Knuckles Chaotix a spinoff.. since it basically plays the same as oldschool Sonic games, except with a new twist).
