The Australian Greens party is the most dangerous party in Australian politics. Their racist and misguided policies have the potential to damage the very fabric of Australian life. This website seeks to encourage voters to make an informed choice come election time, as many people do not understand that the policies of the Australian Green party go further than simple environmentalism.

The Greens' propaganda machine is moving into full swing in the run-up to election, so stay informed and help us STOP THE AUSTRALIAN GREENS IN 2007!

The most dangerous party in Australian politics? I'd vote for the Greens - not despite - but because of their policies unrelated to environmentalism, especially on civil rights, education and health.

I won't be 18 in time for the election though. :(

It's says Green racism takes the form of giving marginalized races more money. it's 'racist' because they make the assumption all aboriginal/black people etc, are poor and uneducated and therefore giving them more money is unequal. the site is probably more fail than One Nation.... hmmmm, nah. maybe 2nd most fail

If it was about regional aboriginals, I wouldn't mind too much. They aren't exactly in the best situation right now....course it doesn't help when alcohol is the problem, so more cash to them goes to the booze.....sigh...

Cash isn't going to fix the aboriginal problem, there really is no way to put a price tag on the solution to it. You either want them integrated into our society, which is why stuff like the lost generation happened, or you want to respect their culture which is some what of an empty gesture really. In my mind funding for culture schooling for aboriginal children might be a welcome idea, but it might also be insulting as well. Honestly I don't know, it's a sensitive issue.

I lolled at the STAG page. The greens or zealots like family first will never get into office because they simply want too much change, and the Australian public likes stability. The only way it would work is if they were in coalition with the government, which has happened in Germany I believe.

Howard needs a makeover. Too many laws his party has introduced that have potential to threaten our current government system into a democracy-dictatorship. Well they have screwed up some basic human rights.

Most students at unis are apathetic/CBFd when it comes to the crunch time AKA elections. 'I'll just vote for him because ya know... he's all polite or hasn't really shaken up my world much.' Or the stupid response - 'he's the leader of the government ya know?'.

Better to keep quiet on such matters or... it's all for the sake of political correctness. 'Oh look there's a kid in a wheelchair! Let's ask him how he got to that state?'

Voting labour is basically doing the same thing. Infact a vote for green usually ends up with labour anyway.

I don't think students are really like this, and coming from an academic environment where parties can pick up fresh and impressionable young minds I'd say that generally they are more politically aware than most of the public.

I will agree that we are quite an apathetic nation when it comes to political discussion outside of election though. It's not exactly something your relo's talk about while cookin up some snags on the barbie.

Zant3tsuken - about more than half of the people in my uni are either Indian, Chinese/Vietnamese and 'Mediterraneans' aka Islamics, Muslims, and Lebanese. And some of them come from overseas which means they have some to minimal concern to what goes on in this country.

It's not exactly something your relo's talk about while cookin up some snags on the barbie.Its a fairly common topic that comes up every now and then when we have relos over/go to relos'. Some are more willing to talk about it than others. Most of them are family settle - down types and tend to vote liberal or conservative parties mainly because it benefits them family wise. For them to vote Green is akin to doing something risky for their family. Don't shake the boat and everything will be fine. No risk, no conflict.

I feel sorry for your school. Although mine is so adversely hippyly corrupt that it probably single-handedly caused the VSU revolt by the federal government, lol. Howard always had a vendetta against the young vote though, demonstrated presently by making it harder for young people to sign up on the electoral roll because of very tight deadlines (3 days). Good job raping AEC's phonelines. Please kick him out of his Sydney biased Kiribilli House. I'm sick of seeing the news to see him unfairly parading and boostering that place instead of the Lodge, the capital and the rest of Australia. What a waste of money Canberra was.

Conservatives are selfish and short-sighted. Fail. :grin:

I am voting #1 Greens and secondary ALP. Why? Because Greens are pretty full on.
Realistically though a vote for them is NOT giving them the chance to govern Australia, but to have a couple of seats so they might actually get a say. Tighten the leash on things like limitations for the Tassie paper mill for instance.
ALP are being realistic with what they offer, and not magically back-flipping on policies and pulling money from their rear ends. Howard is luring people into an unmarked van with promises of puppies...when the last time that happened we only saw the 30c cone become the 50c cone. As a student I can't even keep fuel in my tank, but Howard doesn't seem to care. He prefers to give the highest paid tax bracket a tax cut than to get me to school.

Shaz, I'd go Greens 1, then anything but family first, labour and liberal 2nd, labour 3rd last, liberal 2nd last and family 1st LAST.

Family first is practically inviting American Evangelism over to Aussie, who doesn't need it in the first place! Pro right wingers destroy just about everything since the beginning of the last century. Feminism, condoms (practise abstinence yeah!), nuclear power, crystal power (AKA computers), etc etc.

ALP are actually pork barreling more than Liberals are at the moment - but at least it's a good investment - $2b into upgrading our broadband so we're not a 3rd world nation anymore! yay! ALP are also huge endorsements of Research and Development (R&D), so we can become a more advanced economy instead of digging up **** and shipping it to China :grin:

Shaz is right - giving people more money to spend on comforts and imports will only increase the cost of living via inflation and weaken our ability to make money based on exports.

I’m a socialist, so there’s no doubt in my mind who I’m voting for. Infact I've already voted, to avoid being owned by mass people over dirve.
I didn't vote for liberal or labour, and I'm putting family first last. I voted for the green's In the senate though, lol. Keeping my rep vote a secret.
