Dear Rumors: Suck it. Love From Sakurai

<p align="center">One of the most “popular” (see: hated) rumors we’ve heard is one that Celda and Ridley were in Brawl, but with the removal of Ice Climbers and Mr Game and Watch. For the sad few of you who STILL believe this, Sakurai’s revealed Ice Climbers today, and they look AMAZING!</p>

The due from the Nes game Ice Climber are returning once again, and honestly, it’s not suprising. Sakurai loves retro, and the only real reason they might have been removed was they were only in one game. But that is still weak concidering Pit’s only been in 1 game too.* (EDIT: Been pointed out that he’s actually been in 2 games, my bad.)

<p align="center">Aaaaanyway, Nana still follows Popo around and they still use their ice attacks. As known, IC’s main advantage is their being 2 of them, 2 attacks, 2 grabs, and now 2 Footstool jumps</p>

<p align="center">One question: Are their multiple taunts now? IC’s old taunt <a href="http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/images/iceclimbers/iceclimbers_070914a-l.jpg">is shown</a>, but what’s this? It’s highly similar to one of their victory animations, so maybe it isn’t, and victory animations are now played on the stage? It can’t be their dodge, since they’ve dropped their mallets…</p>

yay IC's are back ^^ and the look really nice.

I'll hope that the victory animations are really on the stage, which would look much better imo.

Perhaps Popo does that taunt if Nana is too far away. In that screenshot, maybe Nana joined Popo after he finished taunting.

I was wondering if the last pic was some kind of victory pose, or possibly the return of Ccharacter-specific stage entries. Though that pose looks a little awkward for those things, so I have no real idea.

In my mind, this pretty much confirms Game and Watch. I think Sakurai is only taking characters out when they are clones with no feasable, unique moveset that can be implemented. I can also see him taking out characters that could be replaced with other similar characters from that series (i.e. Lucas instead of Ness, etc.). Other than those exceptions, there is no reason that all of the characters from Melee should not come back. It's always nice to see old characters return, because everyone has their favorites, and it's nice to see everyone as satisfied with the line up as possible.

I think Game & Watch and Captain Falcon are both gunna be in Brawl, but I think they're gunna be unlockable again, so I don't think we'll be seeing updates for them any time soon.

Awesome update. I didn't care about them being in, or even think that they would be, but now that they are, i'm pretty happy!

Also, i have noticed a subtle difference between US and EU versions of the site.

US: "The one in blue is Popo."
EU: "The one in purple is Popo."

I think it'd be stupid to bring back Icicle Mountain if it's gunna be pretty much the same as DK's new stage. And if they had an icy stage that was slippery, it would be too similar to the Pokemon Stadium 2 ice transformation. I really can't think of a good stage for them... we'll have to wait and see.

Yes i'm curious to what kind of stage they will have. So I guess I was right........I was actually hoping that Kirbykid would prove me wrong. I Sakurai should make desynching an attack and build Ice Climbers around that. That would be cool

Yeah, I don't remember anything like that in Ice Climbers...

later in the game there were some falling down from above (from emerged/grow from the bottom of a higher floor)
