Possible Character Announcement in next CoroCoro Magazine

Yep, news about Brawl news. We’re a bit behind on this one, but news is circulating the internet (via <a href="http://gonintendo.com/?p=16206#comments">GoNintendo</a> as well as <a href="http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=101470">IcyMatt on Smashboards</a> a full day earlier — go IcyMatt!) that next months issue of CoroCoro Magazine might announce one of the new characters in Smash Bros. Brawl.

The board denizens are skeptical about what it says, though. The comments are vague, and might even just be about “general Wii announcements” rather than anything specific. We’ll now on May 15th, when the new issue is due.

Now all we need is <a href="http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=72642">SamuraiPanda</a> to appear and give us a translation.

CoroCoro’s been the first to release a lot of Diamond/Pearl information before their Japanese releases, so I’d believe they could manage some delicious Smash information.

Very interesting news. While the upcoming month may or may not equal Brawl news, I would hope that we do get it. Still, I’m doubtful, because I feel that a single Japanese magazine ending this horrible drought of official brawl news seems weird.

I’m going to try remaining optimistic on this though.

Mic, that was for the Wii in the circle that was under Fox. I’m pretty sure that the Wii under Fox is for an entirely different article.

In the main rectangle that Fox is in, it says, according to SSJ4Kazuki and confirmed by SamuraiPanda says:

“Top writing next to NO.1 means Brawl is no.1 anticipation [read: most wanted]
Big white writing = Dairantou Smash Brothers X (SSBB)
Yellow writing = Coro Coro Ouendan Kesseida, I have no idea what that means,
but it’s something to do with the Cheer Squad.”


Though I don’t know why Samurai didn’t try to expound on SSJ4Kazuki’s rough translation though.
