Warner Bros greed and PFG making things as painfully grindy as possible makes me believe this game won't last a year ngl. Especially when this is a re-launch, not a launch proper. Expectations are soured and critical than beta which only got worse thanks to the launch burning thousands of people...

Well yeah, worthwhile characters being stop gaps is out of the question for me: preference-wise at least, I'd never suggest that over the Banana or Meeseeks. I remember they planned on making semi-clone/"echoes" the stop gap characters back during that beta and that option just looked preferable...

But that's the issue for me. Chrom was at least a clone and you can visibly see that they took zero time making him (his model wasn't really upgraded like Banana Guard and Meeseeks were, he looks very jank lmao). And he's a beloved iconic character to boot. Meeseeks and Banana Guard, even with...

That's what I'm saying. Banana Guard was already ludicrous but Meeseeks too? At this point clone characters would've been better, at least then the "it'd be easier on the devs" excuse would actually make sense since they're not wasting resources on unique kits (poorly executed ones at that)...

Not gonna lie, if we're reaching a point where they put in filler fighters like Mr. Meeseeks and all of that stuff is actually real. I would've taken that echo fighter idea they were considering.

Problem is, everyone's fear-mongering because Warner is quicker to write off projects for tax write offs than Disney is. PFG may not pull the plug but there's nothing stopping Warner Bros from doing it.

It's a shame the coolest designed plat-fighter characters are locked in the messiest sorriest game I've seen in a long time. Praying for the Aquaman, PPG, Jack and any other character to slide in while they still can.

No it wouldn't, that's an extremely narrow minded point of view. There's lots of diverse and interesting stages in games like Rivals and lots of Smash's stages too can exist in a game without shields and ledge grabs. There's plenty of ways to implement blast zone walls and ways to interact with...

Copying Smash mechanics wouldn't make the MVS stages interesting.

Not having ledge grabs is unique, I'm glad MVS is willing to stick to different things than just Smash.

NASB 2 was slower than MVS' beta. The beta had everyone dodging at breakneck speeds to the point everyone hated 1v1 and it's one of the reasons the netcode sucked.

As cool as that would be, it'd be a nightmare to balance. Iron Giant is still feeling the effects of being so big. It'd also really hurt the readability of their game if their character is Jerry size or smaller. A common speculation point is that they designed the game around making functional...

Even though he's obviously a shill pick, I'm glad he got in. He could be very cool in a plat-fighter and he's fairly underappreciated so... this'd be nice to have a well designed fighting game moveset.

Maybe they'll make a new Batman skin and have him essentially take over without removing the base Batman's lines.

Here's the objective difference maker, a difference maker that PFG is confirmed to want to prioritize: which of those versions could sell more skins? TTG being massively popular or recent doesn't matter too much when the 2003 version offers more and the designs have more general appeal. And...
