Mii Costume: Conker (Diddy Kong Racing/Conker's Bad Fur Day) - Mii Swordfighter Conker's sword becomes his chainsaw.

Knuckles the Echidna (Sonic the Hedgehog) Since we're focusing on Gamecube-era content right now, it feels fitting to look back at the time when Mario's once greatest rival, Sonic, first appeared on a Nintendo console: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, for the Gamecube. While that game introduced a...

    Super Smash Bros. Infinite Beyond

Cranky Kong (Donkey Kong) Cranky Kong is an incredibly important Nintendo character, being Mario's first adversary in the classic 1981 arcade game Donkey Kong, the character we now know as Donkey Kong being Cranky Kong's grandson. When Rare came along and reinvented the franchise with Donkey...

@Capybara Gaming Damn, it's just not that serious. Like, I thought Marin was a dumb addition, and I think it's silly no new Animal Crossing characters have been added, but like... who cares? It's a fun little game to participate in, it has no real world consequences.

Pauline (Super Mario? Donkey Kong? I could see an argument for either) Before Peach, there was Pauline. Pauline debuted in 1981's Donkey Kong, which also featured the first appearances of two little characters named Mario and, well, Donkey Kong (or technically Cranky Kong). She originated as...

    Super Smash Bros. Infinite Beyond

Franchise submission: Animal Crossing I keep trying to get another Animal Crossing character on the roster, and it hasn't been working, but in a way I'm glad, because this is my favorite way to include one so far! The world of Animal Crossing is so vibrant as has so many fun characters...

Wait, so the runoff and the Pokémon Mii costume were in the same poll. Did I miss something, or did we not get the results for the Mii costume?

Grass-type Mii costume: Decidueye Am I still bitter that Incineroar got in over him? Maybe. But I suppose a Mii costume is the next best thing. He could be a Mii Gunner, with his "gun" being his bow.

    Super Smash Bros. Infinite Beyond

Trying this again... Tom Nook (Animal Crossing) Ever since New Horizons was released, Animal Crossing has catapulted into one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, so it's high time the series got a third fighter in Smash. After Isabelle, Tom Nook is easily the most iconic character. He ties...

Aren’t some of those from pre-2000?

    Super Smash Bros. Infinite Beyond

Madeline (Celeste) Madeline could have a unique moveset, drawing inspiration from her climbing and acrobatic abilities. She would also resonate with a diverse audience, bringing more attention to her inclusion. Criteria: Celeste is from indie studio Maddy Makes Games. The game was released...
